'Elephant' singer Alexandra Burke has also asked fans to pray for the footballer, who is currently in a critical condition
Olly Murs and Alexandra Burke are the latest stars to pay tribute to critically ill Premier League footballer Fabrice Muamba.
The Bolton Wanderers midfielder collapsed during the FA cup match with Tottenham Hotspur yesterday (17th March), following which paramedics spent ten minutes resuscitating the 23 year-old player before rushing him to a nearby hospital.
"Have just seen Papers about Fabrice Muamba I'm praying for him!" Olly Murs tweeted this morning (18th March). "I'm in shock reading it!! Thinking of him & his family at this time!! Xx"
"Can't believe what just happened at the match. Everybody please pray for Fabrice Muamba.." Alexandra Burke also posted last night.
'Number 1' rapper Tinchy Stryder was similarly shocked by the events at White Hart Lane yesterday and simply tweeted: "Praying for Fabrice Muamba!!"
The former England Under-21 star is being treated at London's Chest Hospital in their heart attack centre, and both Bolton Football Club and the hospital have released a joint statement updating fans on his condition.
"Fabrice Muamba remains in a critical condition in intensive care," the statement reads. "As is normal, he remains anaesthetised and will be for at least 24 hours."
The Wanted's Tom Parker, himself a Bolton Wanderers supporter, was one of many fans to post messages in support of Muamba following yesterday's tragic incident.
