The 'Starships' singer says has explained her reasons for taking a break from Twitter.
Nicki Minaj has explained her decision to quit Twitter and claims that although she has been missing her 'Barbz' she doesn't miss the website at all.
The 'Super Bass' rapper quit Twitter last week following a disagreement with a fansite that had been leaking tracks from her new album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' ahead of its release.
"I miss my Barbz. Do I actually miss Twitter? No, but I do miss my babies," Nicki admitted to Capital FM's James Barr.
The 'Beez In The Trap' singer went on to discuss her reasons for leaving Twitter and reassures fans she just needs to take a break from the popular social networking site.
"Before the album came out I saw them tweeting away exclusive leaks off my album," Nicki recalled. "And I was like, 'Well if you made a fan page I would imagine that you actually are my fan you care about me and you wouldn't want to do something like that.
"So I just unfollowed them. I didn't say anything mean about them I just unfollowed them," Nicki continued. "And then lo and behold I saw they were rallying people against me and saying, 'She unfollowed us! How mean is she!'
"But I don't want people to think that's why I deleted my Twitter," Nicki promised. "I just needed some time to myself.
"I wouldn't do it just because some page posted horrible things about me," she added. "I wouldn't delete my Twitter over that."
It is still unclear whether the 'Fly' rapper, who has over 12 million followers on her official account, intends to return to Twitter in the future.
