The 'Pink Friday' rapper speaks about her influence over her fans.
Nicki Minaj has said she doesn't go out of her way to encourage her fans to imitate her style.
The 'Roman Reloaded' rapper insisted that she was always true to herself and that her success was due to people enjoying what she did.
"I guess I am pop culture just because what I'm doing seems to be popular," she said.
"When people want to do what you're doing, it's kinda popular. I don't ask girls to wear pink hair; they just do it. It's not about black or white; I think it's just a statement.
"It doesn't matter which color you are; it's just a statement of being fearless."
Nicki was defended her recent performances, which have led to comparisons with other pop stars like Lady Gaga.
"That's just who I am. I was a theatre major; I studied theatre," he said.
Nicki is currently preparing to release her new album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded', which is the sequel to her 2010 album 'Pink Friday'.
