The 'Super Bass' singer says she and the producer are like brother and sister and that people should "please let it go".
Nicki Minaj has revealed that DJ Khaled's recent marriage proposal to her was nothing but a publicity stunt.
The 'Pound The Alarm' singer was asked to marry the producer in a video message where he showed off a $500,000 engagement ring.
"You gotta take your time and think about it, I understand, but I know I have to be here today to let you know how serious I am and about how serious this is to me," he said it the clip.
However, speaking to US station Hot 97, Nicki cleared up the reports and said it also left her surprised.
Check out the video proposal below:
"I was shocked just like the rest of the world. I was cracking up laughing with the rest of the world 'cause Khaled is a master at what he does," she said.
The producer has an album of his own coming out soon and it's believed the stunt is merely a promotional tool for the record.
"Khaled is my brother and Khaled was not serious with that damn proposal, ya'll," added Nicki. "Please let it go. He was kidding. He's not attracted to me, he doesn't like me. We're brother and sister."
Rumours went into overdrive this week when the rapper was spotted wearing a huge rock on her ring finger.
Meanwhile, Nicki has recently been filming scenes for her acting debut in the Cameron Diaz flick The Other Woman.
