The 'Beez In The Trap' rapper has taken to Twitter to repsond to comments Devin Velez made about her.

Nicki Minaj found herself embroiled in a feud with an ousted American Idol over the weekend.

The 'Starships' rapper responded on Twitter to a perceived slight from eliminated star Devin Velez last week, after he suggested she would prefer a girl to win this year's series.

Devin was eliminated last Thursday (28th March) after Nicki vocally criticised his performance the night before, and he told Us Weekly the next day that he wasn't surprised by her decision not to use her save card.

"I think I know who didn't want to put me through, I don't know, she has a lot of girl power," he explained. "Maybe she just wants a girl to win, you know?"

'Pound The Alarm' rapper Nicki then responded to Devin's comments on Twitter, telling him to be mad at America for not voting to save him.

"Lol. Be mad @AMERICA when u get sent home," Nicki tweeted in response. "The JDUGES are the ones who FOUGHT for America to get the pop to VOTE 4 U!!! #memba?

"America r the 'potential' "fans, u MUST win them over. "'Saves' are b******t and they know it. Those girls are just too good this year."

"Trust me BEW BEW. If EYE didn't want u in that TOP, WOU wldnt have been in that TOP. Fought for ALL of you. So simply b gracious," the US rapper added.
