The 'Born This Way' singe says the sporting event has been bringing her to tears with emotion.
Lady Gaga has praised the US women's gymnastic team for winning gold at yesterdays's team final event at the London 2012 Olympic Games, and admits that the high emotion of the worldwide sporting event has brought her to tears.
The 'Marry The Night' star praised US sports stars Gabrielle Douglas, McKayla Maroney, Aly Raisman, Kyla Ross and Jordyn Wieber after the five girls picked up the gold during yesterday's team final (31st July), hailing their "talent" and "beauty" and praising their team spirit throughout the competition.
"Those girls are tearing the floor up for the USA! #Olympics," Gaga tweeted yesterday. "Woohoo! Gold for the ladies!
"I just want to squeeze them!" the 'Born This Way' singer continued. "So much talent and beauty. Did you seem all holding hands? There's no "I" in team."
Gaga added: "The olympics is the best ever. But I went through a whole pack of tissues last night. watching hard working athletes achieve their dreams."
Yesterday also saw the announcement of this year's nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards 2012, following which Lady Gaga's fans complained across Twitter after the 'You & I' star was snubbed across all categories.
Last week it was confirmed that Gaga will make her Hollywood debut in Robert Rodriguez' upcoming film Machete Kills as a character called La Chameleon.
Lady Gaga is currently working on her third studio album and has promised it will be released by Spring 2013.
