Group calls for concerts scheduled to take place later this year to be cancelled.
A Facebook group called Christians Against Lady Gaga & Beyonce’s SA Tours has condemned the singer's forthcoming gigs in the country.
Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way Ball' tour is scheduled to call in Johannesburg and Cape Town in the run up to Christmas.
The Facebook group, which has already attracted over 2,000 followers, is calling for the concerts to be called off - although Beyonce currently has no scheduled gigs in South Africa.
One user wrote: "Continue praying that God will intervene and stop Gaga's concert."
According to ToNight, the group is planning a meeting next month to discuss how to force the cancellation of Lady Gaga's gigs later this year.
Lady Gaga was seen arriving in Melbourne today (26th June) ahead of one of her Australian 'Born This Way Ball' tour dates:
It is not the first time concerts on the star's 'Born This Way Ball' tour have come under criticism from religious groups.
Last month, Lady Gaga was left "devastated" after being forced to cancel a gig in Jakarta, Indonesia following threats from Islamic hardliners to cause "chaos".
