Lady Gaga Compares Herself To "Rocky, Round 12" While Discussing Career Pressure

The 'Applause' singer says she loves the pressure put on her to exceed her past albums.

Lady Gaga has likened herself to iconic fictional boxer Rocky while discussing how much pressure she is under with new album 'ARTPOP'.

The 'Marry The Night' singer drops her third full-length album 'ARTPOP' in November, and insists she thrives in situations that put her under pressure.

"What are you talking about pressure?" Lady Gaga reveals in the October issue of Elle. "I'm great under pressure.

"I'm a warrior. I'm Rocky, round 12," the 'You & I' singer explained.

Gaga also went on to explain why she decided to adopt the pseudonym of Lady Gaga for her career, saying if she used her real name of Stefani Germanotta she would have been "a mess".

"I am - Stefani is - a perpetually tortured artist," the 'Applause' singer revealed. "That's why I changed my name.

"I can't be her in public. She would be a mess!"

Earlier this week Gaga revealed her infamous meat dress from the MTV VMAs three years ago is her favourite ever stage outfit, as well as confirming she is hoping to record a new collaboration with Beyonce in the future.

Lady Gaga returns with new album 'ARTPOP' on 11th November.

The new issue of Elle magazine featuring Lady Gaga's cover story is due to be published on 24th September.
