Gaga's new outfit causes health alert

Lady Gaga arrived at Heathrow for a flight to the US. so far, so normal, but it's what she wearing for the flight that caused the problem.

What you wear when flying may depend on why you're flying. You might wear something smart if you're travelling on business, something relaxed if you're off on holiday. So what would you wear if you're Lady Gaga? Well, what about being wrapped in black and yellow crime scene tape and some enormous high-heeled shoes designed by Alexander McQueen.

Gaga was wrapped up so tightly she started to swell up as the air pressure in the plane dropped as it reached cruising altitude. The rest of us might loosen our shoes or belts, but Gaga needed cabin crew to help her get changed as she was trussed up like a spring chicken. The crew were concerned that Gaga could suffer from deep vein thrombosis on the long haul flight if she didn't get out of the outfit and restore her circulation.

Only last week Gaga has boasted on TV: "I would rather die than have my fans not see me in a pair of high heels. I'd never give up my wigs and hats for anything."
