The star's fans respond to Capital's first play of the track.
Lady Gaga's new song 'Applause' has been given its first play on Capital FM, with fans describing it as a "masterpiece".
The track is the first single to be taken from the star's new album 'ARTPOP' and was rush-released today (12th August) after elements of it leaked online.
The star declared a "pop emergency" and has called on her fans to try and help combat leaks, which also prompted Katy Perry to unveil her new song 'Roar' early over the weekend.
Capital FM fans have praised the song on Twitter after today's first play.
'ARTPOP', Lady Gaga's third studio album, is out later this year.
