The 'Born This Way' star opens up about her next album 'ARTPOP' during exchange with fans on Twitter.

Lady Gaga has confirmed that she will release a new single in 2013.

The star has been working on her new album 'ARTPOP' for several months and revealed details about the record during a Q&A with fans on Twitter.

Asked about her plans to release a new single, Lady Gaga replied: "Next year. Don't worry!"

The singer also confirmed during the exchange with fans that she had once again been working with producers RedOne and Fernando.

And asked whether it was "fact or fiction" that 'ARTPOP' would feature the continuation of 'Telephone', she replied: "Fact."

Lady Gaga is set to re-start her 'Born This Way Ball' world tour later this month in South America. The star's worldwide jaunt has already called in Europe and the Far East.

Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has been engaging her fans in the ongoing US presidential race, which saw Barack Obama face Mitt Romney in a debate live on US television last night (22nd October).

The argument over foreign policy was the main focus of the final debate and Gaga made note of how "weak" she thought the Republican's arguments were.
