Elton John Worries About Lady Gaga And Predicts "Meltdown" For Miley Cyrus

The British singer says he is worried Lady Gaga may lose her creativity and needs to listen to his advice.

Elton John says he thinks Lady Gaga should go for a more "stripped down" sound to her music in future, as well as saying he worries she may become "complacent" with her fame.

The 'Tiny Dancer' singer, who is known to be good friends with the 'Applause' star, also says he worries that Lady Gaga is surrounded by too many people who don't question her decision or creativity.

"With Gaga, who I love, she's godmother to our children, I'd like to be able to talk to her right now but I can't get through to her," Elton revealed to The Australian this week. "And there are times when you have to listen.

"When your persona begins to take over your music and becomes more important, you enter a dangerous place," he explained. "Once you have people around you who don't question you, you're in a dangerous place.

"When you get famous you get complacent, you stop listening to new things," Elton continued, before continuing: "My album's sound reflects the fact that all the things i love at the moment are stripped down.

"It's the kind of direction Gaga should be going in," he added.

The 'Crocodile Rock' singer also opened up about the renewed success of Miley Cyrus following the release of songs 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball', predicting a "meltdown" may be on the cards for the US star.

"I look at Miley Cyrus and I see a meltdown waiting to happen," Elton added. "And she's so young! But she's got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?"

Elton John was speaking fresh from performing live at iTunes Festival 2013 over the weekend.

Lady Gaga returns with new album 'ARTPOP' on 11th November while Miley Cyrus' new record 'Bangerz' is out 8th October.
