Lady Gaga And Justin Bieber Dominate MTV EMA 2011

The 'Born This Way' singer was the biggest winner at last night's ceremony in Belfast.

Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber and Bruno Mars all took home multiple gongs at last night's MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast.

Lady Gaga took won four awards in total and thrilled the Odyssey arena crowd with a performance of forthcoming single 'Marry the Night'.

The singer won Best Female, Biggest Fans, as well as both Best Song and Best Video for her second album lead 'Born This Way'.

Bruno Mars secured Best New Artist over the likes of LMFAO and the Far East Movement, and also took home MTV’s Best Push award.

Justin Bieber also had a successful night winning in the heavyweight categories of Best Pop and Best Male and delivering back-to-back performances of 'Never Say Never' and festive single 'Mistletoe'.

Katy Perry managed to triumph out over rock acts like Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers to take home Best Live Act, Eminem secured an award for Best Hip-Hop and Adele won in the Best UK & Ireland category.

Thirty Seconds to Mars won both Best Alternative and Best World Stage while Linkin Park were named MTV's Best Rock Act.

The event, hosted by Bieber's 17 year-old girlfriend Selena Gomez, also saw Coldplay opening the show with 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall', Jessie J performing hit single 'Price Tag' and Bruno Mars giving a rendition of 'Marry You'.

Last night’s awards ceremony saw Queen presented with MTV's Global Icon gong before performing a medley of their greatest hits with American Idol alumni Adam Lambert.
