The star speaks to Capital FM about critics' verdict of his new single 'Boyfriend'.
Justin Bieber has said "its cool" if people choose to compare him Justin Timberlake.
The comparisons emerged following the release of the singer's new song 'Boyfriend' earlier this year, which critics described as his most mature track to date.
Speaking to Capital FM, Justin acknowledged the opinions, but insisted that he wasn't heading in the same direction as the 'SexyBack' star.
"It's cool. That's not what we were going for, but to have comparisons like that, you can't go wrong," he said.
'Boyfriend' is the first single to be taken from Justin's forthcoming album 'Believe', which features collaborations with Kanye West and Drake, and is released in June.
Meanwhile, Justin is among the eleven acts set to perform at Capital FM's Summertime Ball, which takes place at Wembley Stadium in London on 9th June.
The gig will also feature performances from the likes of Katy Perry, Usher, Coldplay and The Wanted.
