The 'Boyfriend' star shocked fans when he uploaded the picture to Instagram before quickly deleting it.
Justin Bieber flashed his bum as he mooned his fans on Twitter last night (19th January), but has since deleted the picture.
The 'Boyfriend' star surprised his millions of Twitter followers when he uploaded the picture to Instagram with the message "#moon".
He then quickly deleted the image, but not before it received of 80,000 'likes' on the picture-sharing website.
At present, it is not clear whether Justin meant to post the picture or not, but his manager Scooter Braun alluded to it on Twitter and appeared to suggest it was a prank.
He wrote: "As a prankster u have to respect another good prank. only makes sense. #crackdealer."
Justin then posted the open tweet: "Haha."

The singer is currently preparing to release an acoustic version of his recent album 'Believe'.
It will feature ten tracks – eight from the original version of 'Believe' and two new songs.
