The 'Marry You' singer has tweeted about his success at the Grammy nominations in Los Angeles yesterday.
Bruno Mars claims he was almost speechless after being nominated in five categories at the Grammy Awards 2012 nominations ceremony last night (30th November).
The 'Lighters' singer received nods in both 'Album of the Year' and 'Best Pop Vocal Album' for his debut album 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans'.
Bruno's popular number one single 'Grenade' also earned three separate nominations in categories for Record of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
"I've been trynna think of something clever to say," Bruno tweeted after the event. "But the only thing that comes to mind is….FRIKIKIKIKI!!"
He added: "We Did it Hooligans!"
The 'Marry You' singer's first album 'Doo-Wops & Hooligans has been certified three times platinum in the UK since its release in October 2010.
Bruno Mars performed new single 'It Will Rain' on The X Factor USA last week (23rd November), but posted a message on Twitter after the appearance confirming he will take a short break to begin working on his second album.
