The 'Crazy In Love' singer and the '99 Problems' rapper made a total of $78 million in the past twelve months.

Beyonce and husband Jay-Z have been named as Forbes' highest paid celebrity couple of 2012.

The financial publication revealed the '03 Bonnie And Clyde' couple's earnings, in the financial year ending on 1^st May, to be in the region of $78 million.

The musicians came second in the 2011 poll behind American football star Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen who dropped to second place with a worth of $72 million.

Jay has enjoyed a triumphant past twelve months with the release of his Kanye West collaboration 'Watch The Throne' as well as their headline tour together.

Beyonce was said to have accumulated around $40 million worth of sales form her sponsorship deals, last album '4' and her back catalogue.

David and Victoria Beckham came in third place with earnings of $54 million.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith all featured in the top five countdown.

Meanwhile, Bey has reportedly started work on her new fifth studio album and has been spending thousands on security to ensure no new tracks leak from her sessions in New York.
