Beyonce records 72 tracks for new album '4'

Beyonce has reportedly handed over 72 tracks to her record label for her new album '4'.

The singer apparently shocked label bosses when she passed on so much material for the follow-up to her 2008 album 'I Am ...Sasha Fierce'.

"Label staff leave Beyonce to get on with things, they tend not to interfere when she's making an album,' a source told The Sun.

'But they weren't prepared for the sheer volume of material she presented to them. She's clearly been very productive.

'Now they have the hard job of going through all the music and deciding what will make it.'

Beyonce recently revealed that her new album title was inspired by her fans.

'4' is set for release in June, the same month she headlines Glastonbury.
