The American leader was full of praise for the star after she and Jay-Z helped raise $4 million for his re-election campaign.
Beyonce and Jay-Z played host to a fundraiser for US President Barack Obama in New York last night (18th September) and helped raise $4 million for the American leader's re-election campaign.
The couple held the prestigious event at the rapper's 40/40 night club in the city with tickets costing $40,000 a head.
"I can't tell you how proud we are to host tonight's event with President Obama," said Beyonce as she introduced the US leader, reports Us magazine. "We believe in his vision."
When Obama took to the stage he joked that his wife Michelle and two daughters Sasha and Malia were upset that they couldn't attend the event before paying the 'Crazy In Love' star a compliment.
"To J and B, thank you so much for your friendship," the President declared. "Beyonce could not be a better role model for my girls."
He also took the time to address Jay-Z and joked that they are similar in a lot of ways.

"We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are," he said. "So, you know, we've got a little bond there. It's hard but it's okay."
US President Obama will face republican candidate Mitt Romney in the upcoming November elections.
Meanwhile, Beyonce penned an open letter to First Lady Michelle Obama earlier this year calling her the "ultimate" female role model.
The singer is also rumoured to be working on a new album after hiring security for secret studio sessions in New York.
