The 'Countdown' singer says she is proud to have her daughter grow up in a world with the US First Lady as a role model.
Beyonce has written an open letter to Michelle Obama praising the US First Lady as the "ultimate" role model for young women.
The 'Love On Top' singer has praised Michelle for her caring nature as well as being both a good mother and a loving wife to US President Barack Obama.
"Michelle is the ULTIMATE example of a truly strong African American woman," Beyonce writes, in the hand-written letter posted on her official website. "She is a caring mother, she's a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the FIRST LADY!!!!"
The 'Best Thing I Never Had' singer also discussed her daughter Blue Ivy in the letter, saying she is proud her child with husband Jay-Z gets to grow up with such a good role model.
She wrote: "I am proud to have my daughter grow up in the world where she has people like you to look up to."
Earlier this week Beyonce was pictured showing off her post-baby figure during a break in Caribbean.
Beyonce is due to make her first live performance since becoming a mother at several special shows starting on 25th May.
