Beyonce: "I Had My Eyebrows Waxed And Nails Done Before Giving Birth"

The 'Countdown' singer speaks about her preparations for the arrival of Blue Ivy Carter.

Beyonce has revealed that her pre-labour preparations included having her eyebrows waxed and nails done.

The 'Love On Top' star gave birth to her first child Blue Ivy Carter in January and said she enjoyed being pampered before going into labour.

"I did have a fresh eyebrow wax," she told People magazine. "I got my nails done, I got my feet done, had my hair done, and I had my little lip gloss."

But despite her preparations, Bey said she struggled to feel her usual glamorous self when giving birth.

"I didn't feel that I looked beautiful during birth, but who does? After being pumped with all those fluids and gaining so much weight... I barely recognised myself," she said.

"But after many hours of labour, I could care less about anything but my child. I didn't care how I looked."

Beyonce was recently named the most beautiful woman in the world by the magazine ahead of a most of music stars and other celebrities including Charlize Theron.
