Simon Cowell is recruiting two new judges after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul's departure.
Beyonce and Mariah Carey are among the major artists who have been tipped to become judges on the next series of The X Factor USA.
The show's boss Simon Cowell is currently looking for two new judges after Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul left the programme.
According to the Chicago Sun Times, Beyonce, who recently gave birth to her first child, and Mariah are favourites for the job.
A source added to the Daily Mirror: "Simon wants nothing but the best for the X Factor and Mariah is the best."
It was also announced this week that The X Factor USA's host Steve Jones won't be returning for the second series.
Meanwhile, Nicole Scherzinger said she was leaving the programme in order to focus on her own music career.
She said: "I wanted to let you know directly from me that it's true I won't be returning to The X Factor.
"Looking forward to an exciting year ahead and making great music and more! I'm grateful for the love you always give me."
The second series of The X Factor USA is due to return to TV screens in the summer.
