The reunited trio were apparently rehearsing their hit 'Bills Bills Bills' ahead of the comeback performance.
Destiny's Child reportedly made a last minute change to their set list during Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show.
The 'Survivor' stars made their highly anticipated reunion performance during the NFL event giving live renditions of such hits as 'Bootylicious' and 'Independent Women' as well as a revamped rendition of 'Single Ladies'.
However, sources have told Us magazine that the trio had been practicing 'Bills Bills Bills' in the run-up to the performance last night (3rd February).
"They kept rehearsing with 'Bills, Bills, Bills,'" the insider revealed to the publication. "And the band started talking about, 'How come they're not doing 'Bootylicious?'"
Speaking about the last minute change from the track, the source added: "It turned out to be too slow and wasn't flowing with the rest of the set."
It had also been claimed the trio would perform their new song 'Nuclear' – which was also omitted from the medley set.
Beyonce's performance drew huge applause from all those in attendance as well as stars from the music industry.
Stars such as Bruno Mars, Jessie J and Justin Timberlake were all full of praise on Twitter for the halftime show.
Meanwhile, Beyonce has today announced details of her new 2013 world tour which will head to the UK in April and include four nights at London's O2 Arena.
