The 'Survivor' singer says she thought the set was "beautiful" and enjoyed the chance to be "goofy" with her friends.
Destiny's Child star Michelle Williams has hit out at criticism of her performance during Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show.
The 'Emotions' singer, along with Kelly Rowland, arrived on stage for a special segment of the trio's biggest hits during the NFL event.
Despite negativity from some media sources, Michelle told Billboard that she had a great time.
"Oh, the Super Bowl was beautiful," she confessed.
The female star also admitted that preparations allowed the three to catch up and they couldn't help fool around during rehearsals.
"When three good girlfriends are together, you're free and you don't care who's around; you're just trying to catch up and be goofy. I had a blast."
Speaking directly about her performance, she added: "People at home watching... they don't catch the moments where, like in the 'Charlie's Angels' pose, I was smiling. We were all smiling. I was laughing with my girls.
"I don't care what anybody else says. I don't let it get me down. It was a beautiful thing."
Michelle also opened up about ensuring she kept her appearance a secret in the run up to the show.
"I was just trying to protect the integrity of Beyonce's show," she said. "She really wanted it to be a surprise. Had I not had to promote 'Fela!,' I would not have had to answer those questions. So when people said, 'Hey, Michelle, is it going to happen?' I wasn't going to say 'yes.' It wasn't my show. [Beyonce] didn't want anybody to know."
Meanwhile, Destiny's Child recently released their new compilation album 'Love Songs' - which features new track 'Nuclear'.
