The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer is rumoured to be making her first public appearance since giving birth last year.

Adele could be set to perform at this year's Academy Awards after it was announced the ceremony will feature a special tribute to the James Bond franchise.

Several online reports have suggested the singer would have to choose between the Golden Globes or the Oscars to make her comeback performance.

The singer has yet to be seen since giving birth to a baby boy towards the end of 2012 and several fans and media sources on Twitter are predicting a surprise appearance in February.

Her James Bond Skyfall theme tune is also among an extended list of nominees up for the prize of Best Original Song at the big night in Hollywood.

The 85th Academy Awards will be taking place at the Dolby Theatre on 24th February with the full list of nominations announced on 10th January.

Katy Perry's 'Wide Awake' is also among the nominees for Best Song at the event and recently said it would be a "dream" to take home the award.

"When I was growing up and working on music, it was always a dream to win a Grammy, but Oscar was so far out of my dream sphere," she explained.
