'Set Fire To The Rain' singer Adele has turned down an offer from record bosses to relocate to California.
The chart-topper who recorded her current album ‘21’ in Malibu told The Sun, "I am a London girl through and through. I felt very uncomfortable in Malibu. I felt at home with my producer Rick Rubin and the studio was incredible, but it's not my kind of area.”
"Everyone lives behind a gate as they have so much money they don't leave. It was a very surreal experience” she added.
"I'm from a pretty rough area in London, so working in Malibu was a dream – but then I got brought back down to earth."
Adele recently received three MTV EMA nominations for Best Female, as well as Best Song and Best Video for 'Rolling In The Deep'.
