The star wants to take a break before releasing the follow-up to 2011's '21'.
Adele has said it is unlikely she will released another album for at least two year.
The 23-year-old singer, who is currently recovering following throat surgery, said she wanted to take a break before returning to the recording studio.
"I'm really looking forward to some time to do nothing. I imagine I'll be 25 or 26 by the time my next record comes out, as I haven't even thought about my third record yet," she said.
"I'm just gonna lay some concrete, set up home and just 'be' for a bit. I'll disappear and come back with a record when it's good enough. There will be no new music until it's good enough and until I'm ready."
Adele also spoke about her recovery from surgery during the interview with Billboard and said she will be singing again by next February.
That is likely to heighten speculation that the '21' singer may perform at next February's Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, where she is nominated for several major gongs.
