Adele's hit single 'Someone Like You' has been named the most downloaded single in UK history, as the country reached a new milestone of one billion downloads.
The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer's 2011 hit, which helped fuel her album '21' to international success, tops a list of the most downloaded songs in the country, followed closely by Maroon 5's 'Moves Like Jagger' and Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used To Know'.
With the ten year anniversary of legal downloads in the UK now approaching this week saw the one billionth single downloaded this week, marking a new milestone in music history.
Other artists to feature on the top ten most downloaded singles include contributions from Jessie J, LMFAO, Carly Rae Jepsen and Black Eyed Peas.
