The 'Rolling In the Deep' singer has picked up the first BRIT Award of the night at London's O2 Arena.
Adele became the first BRIT Awards 2012 winner of the evening tonight (21st February) when she picked up the award for Best British Female.
The 'Someone Like You' singer was introduced by pop icon Kylie Minogue, who arrived in a long flowing blue dress, and named Adele as the winner over other nominees including Jessie J and Laura Marling.
"Thank you so much. I feel like a drag queen next to Kylie!" Adele said, while accepting the award. "It's been an amazing year and I want to thank my record company for letting me be the kind of artist I wanted to be."
Adele's first BRITs 2012 win of the evening comes fresh from her huge victory at the Grammy Awards last weekend, where she won all six awards she was nominated for.
The 'Rolling In The Deep' singer is due to make her first live UK performance at tonight's BRITs ceremony since undergoing vocal chord surgery in late 2011.
