It's a reminder to us all that we only have one planet Earth. And it's an urgent message that we want to reduce the impact our energy system has on that planet.

1) You can raise funds for a world with a bright future
Get together with colleagues, friends and family to hold a fundraising event. It's great fun and the money raised will help WWF's vital work across the world to tackle climate change and protect the natural world.

2) Spread the word
Every registration to WWF's Earth Hour send a powerful message to world leaders. Ask all your friends and family to register at wwf.org.uk/earthhourwales2011 .
Let everybody know what you're doing!

3) Switch off - Don't forget to switch off the lights!
Join iconic landmarks, businesses and homes across Wales and the rest of the UK in switching off all non-essential lighting at home and work between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on the 26th March.

4) Make it more than an hour
Make sure when the lights go back you do everything to ensure the planet has a bright future. See our 'How you can help' page.

Earth Hour events happening in Wales:
10th March - 7pm to 9pm,
Insole Court Lodge, Llandaff, Cardiff.
Earth Hour presentation, open to the public. WWF Cymru will be giving a presentation on Earth Hour, WWF's 50th anniversary celebrations, the work we do across the world and what it is we work on in Wales. It will be a fun evening and an opportunity for you to learn more, ask questions and register for WWF's Earth Hour 2011.
Refreshments will be provided and free WWF goody bags giveaways.
Everybody welcome!

18th March - 1pm, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay.
Performance of WWF's musical 'One Sun: One World' by pupils of Ysgol Pwll Coch School children will be performing this classic musical to help raise awareness of Earth Hour and to celebrate WWF's 50th anniversary. Admission is free so come along to enjoy the show!

Earth Hour Evening, 26th March - 6pm, Chapter Arts Centre, Canton, Cardiff.
Candle lit dinner and green cocktails themed fundraising evening Chapter will hold their evening's activities to candlelight on the night of Earth Hour and serving green cocktails to mark the occasion! They will also be collecting donations in aid of WWF's crucial conservation work. Come along to join us and help make WWF's Earth Hour the biggest yet!
