She's back, baby!
Sandra Oh, the good sis who brought the incomparable Cristina Yang to life on Grey's Anatomy is finally returning to TV as a main character in a new series after almost 4 years.
Since her departure from Grey's, Oh has been taking time to recoup and regather after 10 years wearing those blue scrubs. She's had small roles in various shows and movies but now she's back with her own show, Killing Eve, which has been described a dramatic thriller.
Oh will play Eve, an MI5 security officer who, according to Deadline, finds herself bored and disinterested in her desk-bound job until she's assigned to take down a merciless killer in the field. She ends up going head to head with Villanelle (played by Jodie Comer) and winds up on an action packed, heart-thumping cat and mouse chase. Far cry from a standard Wednesday evening quadruple heart bypass surgery in OR 2 during a blackout with no electricity, right?
There's still a possibility that Oh will return as Cristina Yang to Grey's Anatomy at some point in the future. Former on-screen husband Kevin McKidd already revealed that she's expressed interest in coming back to "fix all of Owen's mistakes" but don't hold your breath... it probably won't be for a few years yet.
Killing Eve is set to premiere on BBC America on April 8 but in the meantime, you can feast your eyes on this trailer and prepare yourselves to start stanning the iconic Sandra Oh once again.
