RuPaul's Drag Race's Michelle Visage joins cast of Strictly Come Dancing

SHABLAM! Michelle is set to hit the dancefloor this autumn...
Yes, henny! It has been announced today (Aug 5) that Michelle Visage will joining the cast of Strictly Come Dancing.
Michelle, who is best known as a judge on RuPaul's Drag Race, will be joining the UK edition of the ballroom dance show, which will see her complete against a number of celebrities, including YouTube star Saffron Barker, to be crowned the Strictly winner.
Speaking on daytime TV show Lorraine, hosted by Lorraine Kelly, who coincidentally will be appearing as a guest judge on the forthcoming UK version of Drag Race, Michelle said:
“I’m very excited, I’m actually over the moon. This is one show I’ve loved for years. I’m a woman that’s 50-years-old and I want to be out there representing women of a certain age.” Yaaaasss queen!
It's not the first time Michelle has appeared on a UK reality show. The self-confessed Anglophile is obsessed with British culture and TV, and appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2015. Michelle is also part of the judging panel on Ireland's Got Talent.
Michelle isn't the first Drag Race star to appear on a ballroom dance show either. Courtney Act recently finished in second place on the Australian version of the show, Dancing With The Stars.

Fans are freaking out that Michelle will be on the show and everyone is hoping that she will dance to a RuPaul song.

Michelle stopped by PopBuzz HQ earlier this year to discuss RuPaul's Drag Race UK, which will be dropping in October.
Ru and Michelle are set to return to the judging panel from the US alongside new judges, UK comedy royalty Graham Norton and Alan Carr.
After the announcement, it didn't take long for British Drag Race fans to start suggesting iconic characters from British TV shows & films for the new queens to impersonate on Snatch Game, the impersonation challenge in the show. So, we put a few of those suggestions to Michelle and tested Michelle's knowledge of British slang.
