If you've been on social media lately, you should know that Netflix's Love Is Blind is the internet's newest obsession. Season 1 of the dating show, which is hosted by real-life married couple Nick and Vanessa Lachey, dropped just before Valentine's Day and it sees single men and women actually get engaged without even meeting each other first. Basically, imagine if Love Island, The Circle and The Bachelor had a baby but then multiply it by 1000 – that's Love Is Blind.
The couples get better acquainted while camped out in "pods" for 10 days. They don't get to actually see each other until after a proposal. The engaged couples then go of to luxury resort in Mexico, where they build upon their romance. If they survive, they move into an apartment together before eventually making it down the aisle.

Whew, it's a ride. But when did this all go down? And where was it filmed? Well, here's the tea.
When was Love Is Blind on Netflix filmed?
Believe it or not, Love Is Blind was actually filmed in 2018. Love Is Blind contestant Damian Powers (who proposed to Giannina Milady Gibelli) told Refinery29 that the first season stopped filming on 15 November 2018. The show is filmed over a total of 38 days (10 days in the pods and 28 days together) which would mean that the couples all "met" around 9 October 2018. They would have met face-to-face on 19 October 2018.
Considering it's been over an entire year since filming, that means any couple that actually ended up together have already celebrated their first wedding anniversary… wild.
There's no word on why Netflix sat on the hit series for so long, but we're just so glad they decided to bless us with it.
Where was Love Is Blind filmed?
Love Is Blind was filmed in Atlanta, Georgia, and Cancun, Mexico. For the first few episodes, the women and men are separated and only communicate from their pods. These pods were located in Atlanta, but we later see the engaged couples travel to Cancun, Mexico for a luxury stay in the Grand Velas resort in Playa Del Carmen.
The contestants then all return to Atlanta and move into the same apartment complex in Atlanta. Unlike The Circle, Love Is Blind contestants are allowed to leave, see family and friends, go on dates, and choose their wedding attire.
