A HUGE Cheryl And Toni Scene Was Cut From "Riverdale" And It Sounded AMAZING

We were robbed in broad daylight! Give us the Choni we deserve.
So, how is everyone coping after that dramatic season finale of Riverdale? Exhausted? On edge? Relieved because Jughead is alive? All of the above? Same. But we're also feeling a little jipped too because of all those juicy scenes that got deleted from the final episode.
If you follow the cast on social media, you'll know that they're all VERY active, often sharing little sneak peaks of scenes and locations while shooting. After a while, it becomes pretty easy to work out what's going on in the world of each character and who they interact with. Because of that, fans have clocked that there were several scenes that didn't end up in the finale episode - and they are PRESSED about it.
One of those scenes was between Snake Girlfriends™ Cheryl Blossom and Toni Topaz and honestly, we can't believe that we were robbed of such a highly GIF-able moment.
Last month, Madelaine Petsch stopped by ET's Sweetwater Secrets and spilled the tea that Cheryl and Toni's relationship would be taking a big step forward in the finale episode - Toni was supposed to move into Thistlehouse with Cheryl. A scene was shot and it sounded a m a z i n g.
“When [the Riverdale writers] were like, ‘Toni's moving in with Cheryl,' I was like, ‘Yesss! I live!’” she teased. “I wish you could've read the original script because it was ‘Rawr!’”
But of course, that didn't happen. Instead, we saw Cheryl become a serpent (!!) and end up at Thistlehouse alone with her Nana and new legal guardian. Thankfully, Vanessa Morgan was on hand to reveal exactly went down in front of the cameras before it got axed from the show.
“Well, the moment that was cut from the episode was me just pulling up to her house — on my motorcycle of course,” she told Sweetwater Secrets. “And I went up to the door with my bag and I just smile at her. And then she's like, 'Welcome home!' but we didn’t end up keeping it.”
Nooooo! We were robbed! Robbed of Choni! Robbed of Toni riding a motorbike! In broad daylight! How dare you?
That's not the only scene that was cut either. Thanks to paparazzi pictures and comments made at conventions and panels, it's also been clocked that there were quite a few scenes that didn't end up in the episode. (Remember those pictures of Alice and Betty in the cemetery? What happened to that scene?!)
Show-runner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa explained all the omissions in an interview with ET: “In the finale, we always write it big, but in the end we have to leave some [scenes] behind for timing reason,” he explained.
But it's not all bad news - those scenes will more than likely end up on the DVD extras. “If scenes didn’t make it into the final cut, they will be on the DVD and we will try to release them and I can promise you that there are big stories ahead for Choni.”
