"So much of it is a visual spoiler. You'll see."
You know how the Avengers: Infinity War trailers included a bunch of scenes that didn't even exist in the final movie? Well, that tactic was so successful in throwing the audience off the scent that Marvel have done the same thing with Endgame. But according to Chris Evans, there's apparently way more spoilers in there than we thought.
In a new profile with The Hollywood Reporter, the best Chris sat down to discuss his 'final' outing as Captain America and attempted to dodge questions about his character's fate in Marvel's big conclusion. In the interview, he also said that the trailer for the highly anticipated film might have teased a little more than he thought they were ever actually going to.
"I can’t believe they even cut together a trailer because so much of it is a visual spoiler," he said. "You’ll see. A lot of the character have —"
Then, according to the writer, he stops to cover his mouth before adding, "Probably shouldn’t have even said that."
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat!? Spoilers in the trailer?! Well, duh, obviously... but also, what exactly is he referring to!?
It wasn't specified which trailer Chris was talking about. So far, two trailers have dropped for the film as well as one short spot that aired during the Super Bowl. All three teasers contained different footage, with some scenes even being altered for various trailers (like the one where the Avengers are walking through the hangar).
It's been confirmed by the Russo brothers (to Empire Magazine) that some footage in the trailers is actually fake but taking into account Chris' tease, fans are now wondering just how much of those trailers contain *actual* spoiler-y footage.
Some fans have pointed out that the trailers could tease time travel, flash forwards or different dimensions, based on the different hairstyles and lengths that certain characters have (like Black Widow). Others have pointed out that the white suits the Avengers are wearing while walking through the hangar are quantum suits, which gives away the fact that they might be heading to the quantum realm.
There's also the appearance of both Scott Lang (who was missing in the quantum realm) along with Tony Stark and Nebula (who were shown stranded in space in the first teaser trailer) suggesting that they all make it out of their respective predicaments alive...
