Avengers 4 is officially called Avengers: Endgame.
It's here! The first trailer for the long-awaited Avengers 4 has arrived and the title has finally been confirmed: Avengers: Endgame.
Following on from the absolutely catastrophic events of Avengers: Infinity War, the trailer gives us our first glimpse at life after Thanos' big snap... and it's pretty bleak. "He wiped out 50% of all living creatures," says Black Widow.
Is Chris Evans leaving the Avengers franchise? Will Captain America die?
While the trailer doesn't give much away about what's going to happen and whether or not the remaining Avengers will manage to defeat Thanos and restore what happened in Infinity War, it packs a real emotional punch, particularly with Tony Stark's heartbreaking message to Pepper Potts at the start.
The trailer opens with Tony Stark drifting in space, alone. He's recording a message for Pepper, telling her that he's run out of food, water and will run out of oxygen at some point the next day.
Thanos's armour is then shown hanging up as he walks through a field, after a long day of murder.
Captain America, Black Widow and Thor are shown at the Avengers base while Bruce Banner looks on at pictures of Scott Lang (who is currently missing in the quantum realm) and Peter Parker (who was turned to dust in Infinity War. SAD!)
It looks like the big plan to fix this whole thing is resting on the shoulders of Cap. Oh, and Hawkeye is back!!! At the end of the trailer, it looks like Scott manages to escape the quantum realm too.
Avengers: Endgame will be released on April 26, 2019. Director Joe Russo also revealed that though the film is still in the editing process, with a current runtime of three hours. WHEW!
