The 'Talk That Talk' star apologises to fans and admits she's missing talking to her Navy.

Rihanna has apologised to her fans for her recent Twitter absence and admitted that she misses speaking to them.

In a special video message, which you can watch below, RiRi revealed that she had been spending time with her Grandma in New York.

It follows the singer's unusually quiet activity on both her Twitter and Facebook pages in recent days.

"Rihanna Navy, what up?" the 'Talk That Talk' star said.

"I know I've been slacking on my social networking game recently, but I've been spending some time with my Grandma in New York City and I miss you guys."

Earlier this month, Rihanna took to Twitter to hit back at a series of recent tabloid stories about her.

The singer is scheduled to make a festival appearance in the UK next month and has also been linked to more movie roles in the near future.
