The Bajan beauty picked up the huge honour at last night's American Music Awards 2013.
Rihanna was presented with her Icon Award at the American Music Awards 2013 last night by her mum during a truly emotional moment between the pair.
The 'We Found Love' singer's mum Monica Braithwaite Fenty paid tribute to the hard work of her daughter and the speech was something even Justin Timberlake got chocked up at.

"Can we talk about cute Rihanna's mom is," he told the audience inside the Nokia Theatre when he collected one of his own awards.
Rihanna's mum said: "I know the journey of your career has not always been an easy one. But tonight I applaud and admire you for being so strong and so positive and so humble and so focused... I'm blessed to be part of this historic moment."

Rihanna also collected Favorite Female Artist (Soul/R&B) and performed her hit single 'Diamonds' on a night that saw Taylor Swift take home four prizes.
