The 'Gotta Be You' singers team up with 'Lego House' star during a break from the studio.

One Direction and Ed Sheeran enjoyed a game of football on Wednesday (8th August) during a break from recording the band's new album.

They were spotted showing off their skills in a field near the studio where One Direction have been working on the follow-up to their debut album 'Up All Night'.

Ed is thought to have travelled to the studio straight after touching down from Australia, increasing rumours that he will appear on the album.

The 'Lego House' singer has already confirmed that he has written songs for the group after teaming up with them on their first record.

The boys' game of football came as it was reported that Louis Tomlinson has become the owner of a football team in Yorkshire, The Three Horse Shoes.

A source told The Sun: "Before Louis auditioned on The X Factor he played for the local pub side with a few of his pals back in Donny.

"The team were struggling to get a new kit together for the new season, and it filtered back to Louis. He decided to put his hand in his pocket as long as he can be called the owner and get the odd game when One Direction's diary allows."

Louis has apparently bought the team a set of new kits and arranged a sponsor.

Meanwhile, One Direction's new album is currently untitled but it is widely expected to be released before the end of the year.

The group recently revealed that they head shot the artwork for the much-anticipated album.
