The 'Super Bass' star speaks about the latest series of the music reality show with her fans on Twitter.
Nicki Minaj has confessed that she considers American Idol to be not entirely a singing competition.
The 'Starships' rapper was taking part in a small question and answer session with her fans on Twitter when she brought up the reality show.
"No, this is NOT a "singing competition". If that were the case, we'd judge w/blindfolds on. Presence, Look, Relatability, Authentic, etc," she wrote.
The new series of the show has featured several heated moments involving the female rapper, including arguments with fellow judge Mariah Carey.
Speaking during the early stages of the show, the 'Pound The Alarm' singer admitted she was worried about becoming "too famous" when the show kicked off.
Meanwhile, the star recently shrugged off her snub from the Grammy Awards 2013 by saying she's "gotten tons of awards" in the past.
The rapper missed out on receiving a single nomination at last weekends' event.
