Nicki Minaj Shrugs Off Grammys 2013 Snub: "I've Gotten Tons Of Awards"

The 'Va Va Voom' rapper says she is not bothered about failing to gain a nomination for this year's event.

Nicki Minaj has hinted that she believes the Grammy Awards had a "different reason" for leaving her out of the 2013 nominations.

The 'Pound The Alarm' rapper failed to garner a single nod for this year's Grammys despite a year filled with chart hits, but has refused to elaborate on her comments about the snub.

"I've gotten tons of awards and I believe when it's my time to get a Grammy, I'll get a Grammy," Nicki revealed to the Associated Press this week.

"I think that the Grammys had a different reason, that I do not want to discuss and that's just between me and them," Nicki teased. "But I respect their organisation and I'll get a Grammy eventually.

"I'm not worried about it," she added.

In 2012 Nicki received a total of three nominations at the Grammy Awards following the success of her debut album 'Pink Friday'.

Nicki is currently starring on the new season of American Idol where her feud with Mariah Carey has been a big talking point about the revamped judging panel.

The Grammy Awards 2013 is set to air on CBS from Los Angeles on 10th February.
