The Capital Late Show with Sonny Jay 10pm - 1am
Little over a year since the release of her double album 'Hannah Montana 2 / Meet Miley Cyrus' the teen sensation looks set to break away from the Disney mould with the release of her first album proper, appropriately titled Breakout.
If you like the sound of her debut UK single, See You Again, then you certainly won't be disappointed by its parent album, which is a surprisingly mature set of songs, most of which the fifteen year old pop princess had a hand in writing. Ranging from angsty rock / pop about teenage love gone sour (7 Things), to chilled-out midtempos (Bottom Of The Ocean), to a refreshingly different take on Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, we think you'll be pleasantly surprised by just how good it is.
In fact, the only cringe-worthy moment is Wake Up America which smacks of bandwagon-jumping while lacking any kind of clear message ('But everything I read is global warming, going green, I don't know what all this means)'. One thing's for sure - Hilary Duff will be quaking in her boots the minute she hears this.
