The 'Future History' singer has promised a brand new sound for his new musical direction.
Jason Derulo has promised fans his new music will be a "total reinvention" when he returns from his recent neck injury.
The 'Don't Wanna Go Home' singer injured himself in rehearsals for his 'Future History' world tour back in January, and says his new material will be an "eyeopener" for the fans when they hear it.
"Since my accident I've been in the studio," Jason told the Daily Star recently. "I probably got in too soon which wasn't the healthiest thing to do, but I have been so inspired by everything that's happened.
"The material has been coming out a little different as I realised what actually matters in life," he explained. "This is going to be a total reinvention and people will be really surprised.
The 'It Girl' singer also teased that he is considering adopting a brand new look when he makes his return to the charts later this year.
He added: "I definitely want to change it up a little bit, maybe add some colour in my life."
Earlier this week Jason's girlfriend Jordin Sparks tweeted that he had had a "breakthrough" in his neck recovery and thanked fans for their prayers.
