Netflix's You is set to come back for season 3 in 2021 with Penn Badgley returning as Joe, and fan theories are already brewing about what will happen in the next part of his dark tale.
Production for You season 3 is well underway, and while we wait impatiently for 2021 to come around so we can see what's next for Joe and Love, fan theories have already started swarming the internet about what will happen to the other characters, including Ellie Alves, the younger sister of murdered Delilah.
Will she join Joe on his murderous quest? Will she come back for revenge? Season 2 left us with a lot of questions, and now actress, Jenna Ortega, has set the record straight on what will happen to her seemingly innocent character. We are READY.

In a new interview with Insider, Jenna confirms that despite the fate of her sister Delilah, she's probably not going to go out seeking revenge on Joe. "To me, that defeats the purpose of Ellie's storyline." She says. "Right now we see her as somebody who's incredibly hurt and has been screwed over and kind of got the worst of the worst — to bring her back and make her a murderer like Joe defeats the purpose because that's not her character and that's not in her heart.”
“It takes away from her innocence and it takes away from that fear factor that she has of being a teenage girl involved with this psycho serial killer, Joe.”
So, will she just like...be cool with what happened?

Season 2 left off with Ellie completely non-the-wiser to what had really happened to her sister, but with Jenna keeping her character's sweet heart at the centre of the role, she's digging the theory that the 15 year old will manage to rise above it and move on - and maybe even release the film she assisted Forty on before his gruesome end.
“I really want Ellie to come out of this stronger than before, and I know how badly she wants to be a director,” she told Insider. “I'm hoping that somehow she gets roped back into L.A. because she creates this short film or this film and directs it and it gets a lot of attention ... if it could be Dark Face of Love, that would be great.”
Victoria Pendretti who plays Love, has already revealed she was disappointed with her character's plot twist at the end of season 2, and Penn Badgley has already dismissed fan claims about the neighbour preview we got that left everyone thinking it was his actual Mum, so there's no telling what twists are set to come in the next instalment.
While the release date is currently as generic as '2021', we definitely haven't seen the end of any of our favourite characters yet, as original author Caroline Kepnes is currently penning the third and fourth novel in the series.
How much longer can Joe go unnoticed for?
