Zack Prusak, an extra from 13 Reasons Why, appears to have leaked the release date of the third season.
An extra from 13 Reasons Why appears to have leaked the release date of the third season of controversial Netflix show on Twitter.
Zack Prusak, who is credited as 'Jock' in the show, took to Twitter last month and wrote: "13 Reasons Why season 3. October 2019 ! Let's go!" It's only just now being picked up by fans of the show.
Netflix have not yet confirmed when the show will return. It is usually a closely guarded secret when big shows on the online platform will return.
According to his IMDb page, Zak Prusak is "an actor, known for 13 Reasons Why (2017), Kingdom (2014) and Ant-Man and the Wasp." He is listed as appearing in season two as a jock "uncredited" and then in all 13 new episodes of season three.
Now, I'm not sure I trust Mr Prusak - and one assumes Netflix doesn't either and will ban him from being in any of their productions again - but the October release date isn't implausible. Most fans were expecting it to drop in June, around the same time as season one and two, so there must be a bit of a delay, meaning we can expect it later in the year.

13 Reasons Why was officially renewed for a third season last year. Lead actress Katherine Langford, who plays Hannah Baker, confirmed that she would not be returning, leaving open the possibility of new characters and storylines.
The third season has already been filmed and production has finished. Cast members including Dylan Minnette, Brandon Flynn, Timothy Granaderos and Ross Butler have all been spotted on set.
The latest rumours suggest that Riverdale's Hart Denton will be joining the cast. A Reddit user discovered a stunt man on IMDb credited as Hart Denton's stunt double for two episodes of season 3. They also note that Clay (Minnette), Justin (Flynn) and the new character Charlie Saint (Tyler Barnhardt) all have stunt doubles listed for those two episodes. So if you were expecting season three to let up on the drama, well, think again.
Nothing has been confirmed by either party so we'll have to wait and see.
