This is not okay.
It's no secret that Selena Gomez is one of the most successful superstars in the world right now. From Wizards of Waverley Place and Selena Gomez and the Scene to The Fundamentals of Caring and Revival, she never fails to impress us with her music and acting. Not only that but she also uses her platform to speak up about matters from lupus to body positivity.

Last night though, internationally renowned designer Stefano Gabbana (Dolce & Gabbana) made a rude comment about the popstar on Instagram that was completely out of line. Instagram account @thecatwalkitalia posted a collage of Selena rocking five stunning red looks and Stefano left the comment 'È proprio brutta!!!' below which translates to 'She's so ugly'.
Selena may be a celebrity but there is no question that this is bullying and it is not acceptable.
Italian fashion designer Stefano Gabbana, co-founder of Dolce & Gabbana, insults Selena Gomez’s physical appearance: “She’s so ugly!!!” pic.twitter.com/Q0lGUm2IJ8

Unsurprisingly fans were not at all happy with the comments. Not only were they upset to see one of the head designers of a major fashion line engage in petty cyber bullying but they were also angry that he would use his platform like this.
Selenators around the world immediately took to social media to express their outrage at Stefano's comments.
so, you can not like how someone looks, but calling that person ugly on social media without any actual reason is low, especially when you're a grown ass man

stefano gabbana fell so low and selena is still one of the prettiest and most influential women in the industry😉 pic.twitter.com/vhi7Z4trgb
We detect no lies.
yall are so fake woke and selective of who you’re dragging. if stefano gabbana had called ariana grande or any other woman ugly yall would attack the shit out him but since he called selena gomez and it’s mainstream to hate on her nowadays yall laugh about it. yall ain’t shit

Regardless of what you think of Selena, name-calling is not cool.
Considering how many times Selena Gomez has worn Dolce & Gabbana’s designs on some of the biggest red carpet events in the world you would think that the co-founder of #DolceAndGabbana Stefano Gabbana, would have the decency to appreciate the free promotion she gave to his brand. pic.twitter.com/sI9V1iVFdn

Dolce & Gabbana may be a well-established brand but they are nothing without the celebrities they work with.
Former Louis Vuitton girl and now trendsetter at Coach, Selena Gomez probably denied a partnership with Dolce & Gabbana. Poor Stefano. pic.twitter.com/77DlObpeQg

Bitterness is a disease.

We couldn't put it better ourselves.
What a childish excuse for a man. The worst thing about all of this is that this isn't the first time that Stefano has caused this kind of controversy. Just last year he made similar comments about Miley Cyrus after she called him out for his backward views on same sex adoption and last week he left a catty Instagram comment under a photo of Kate Moss.
Essentially, Stefano is trash and, in spite of all his words, the women he is insulting are winning. Kate is still one of the most in demand models in the entire world, Miley is as successful as ever and Selena is topping the charts with her new single 'Back to You'. The only thing ugly in this situation is Stefano's soul. Sad!
