One Direction's Zayn Malik Opens Up About Relationship With Little Mix's Perrie Edwards

The 'One Thing' singer says he and Perrie make it work because they have "trust and understanding" together.

One Direction star Zayn Malik says he and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards had a discussion at the start of their relationship about how fame could affect things for them.

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singer says the two have "trust and understanding" between each other, which is what has made their relationship work so well.

"We had an understanding from the start," Zayn revealed to Now! magazine. "I told her, 'This is my job, this is what's going to happen, stories will come out. Do you still want to be with me?'

"That was established from the start and after that it was about me and her," the 'One Thing' singer explained. "Perrie has a lot of trust in me and I have a lot of trust in her. That's why it works."

He added: "Our jobs are full-on every single hour of the day. She gets that because she has to do exactly the same thing."

Zayn also revealed 'Wings' singer Perrie is a big fan of his many tattoos because the girl band star loves the "rock n' roll look".

'Gotta Be You' singer Zayn and Little Mix's Perrie have been together for much of 2012, after meeting on last year's The X Factor UK.
