The 'You & I' singer says her new tattoo was inspired by fans of hers in the Brazilian city.
Lady Gaga has paid tribute to the city of Rio De Janeiro by getting a tattoo in honour of the city after performing there on her 'Born This Way Ball' over the weekend.
The 'Marry The Night' star took to the stage in Rio on Saturday night (10th November), before which she was spotted heading to a tattoo parlour in the city earlier in the day flanked by a number of bodyguard.
Gaga later showed off her new artwork, which sees the letters 'R†O' inked onto the side of her neck, and explained her reasoning behind getting the body art later on Twitter.
"R†O. Monsters, all over the world you continue to inspire me everyday, you're like an endless ocean of possibilities," Gaga tweeted, before adding: "The font was derived out of the signatures of three fans, all from different neighbourhoods and ages. Represents how much music brings us 2gether."

The 'You & I' singer already has a number of tattoos on her body, and most recently had the image of a cherub inked onto the back of her head live on stage during one of her Fame fragrance launches around the word.
After performing in Rio Gaga also thanked her fans with the tweet: "Tonight, the love we made set Rio on Flames. I'll never forget that show Brazil. You ARE the City of God."
Lady Gaga's 'Born This Way Ball' world tour continues with a show at the Fiergs in Porto Allegre, Brazil on Tuesday night (13th November) before moving on to shows in Chile, Peru and Paraguay over the course of November.
