The 'Someone Like You' star has reportedly been confirmed for the coveted role by a leading film magazine.
The apparent confirmation of Adele as the singer for the new James Bond Skyfall theme tune has prompted one bookmakers to pay out on bets backing the BRIT Award winning star.
The 'Rolling In The Deep' star has been linked to the position ever since she hinted at the possibility during an interview with Jonathan Ross last year and Total Film magazine recently confirmed the news.
"The way our punters were backing her, it seems as though Adele was going to be the only option to sing the Skyfall theme," revealed William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. "We are now unfortunately shaken, not stirred by this particular Bond battering."
The bookies were forced to slash their odds from 4/1 to evens before starting to pay out due to the overwhelming number of bets backing the 'Set Fire To The Rain' singer.
Adele has yet to confirm or deny these reports and is currently expecting her first child with boyfriend Simon Konecki.
The Grammy Award winning singer was recently forced to deny reports that she had married in secret and surprised the world with news of her pregnancy earlier this year.
The new James Bond movie Skyfall will be released in cinemas on 26th October.
