Newport Food Festival
The food glitterati of Wales will be descending on Newport for the city centre’s first ever True Taste Food Festival taking place around the Indoor Market and The Riverfront Theatre area.

Come along and see some of the top chefs in the UK and the best food providers from the region including:
- True Taste Gold award winning chef Stephen Terry owner of The Hardwick, Abergavenny
- Hywel Jones – crowned Welsh Champion of BBC2’s Great British Menu in 2011
- James Sommerin – executive chef at Michelin-starred The Crown at Whitebrook which was named AA Restaurant of the Year in Wales 2011-12
- Norman Musa – global ambassador for Mayalsian cuisine who joined Gordon Ramsay in his Great Escapes series screened earlier this year

The event will be alive with local producer stalls, family entertainment and professional from both local celebrity chefs including James Sommerin, executive head chef at Michelin starred The Crown at Whitebrook.
Newport Food Festival is an inclusive event for all the family providing free entry to all our chef demonstrations and cook offs at both venues. However there are a limited number of seats in the studio auditorium in The Riverfront Theatre, so please visit www.newport.gov.uk/riverfront or call the box office on 01633 656657 to reserve your place.
Highlights include mouthwatering cooking workshops, Minichef and Teenchef competitions and a special performance of The Very Hungry Caterpillar (ticketed event, call 01633 656757).
South Wales Argus Green Goddess classic delivery van will be there distributing free copies of the day’s newspaper.

Catch up with the team from noon to 3pm. Simply complete an entry form and we'll choose one winner at random.
The Prize is an overnight stay in an executive first floor double room at The Hardwick in Abergavenny including a three course meal for 2 and £200 spending money.
